Privacy Policy

General authority for collection use and disclosure of information

I/We understand that Pioneer Finance (hereafter called Pioneer) is asking me/us for personal information about me/us in order to use Veda Advantages credit reporting service to provide a credit report on me/us.

I/We understand that:

  1. Veda Advantage will give information on me/us for that purpose.
  2. You will give my personal information to Veda Advantage, and that Veda Advantage will hold that information on their system and use it to provide their credit reporting service.
  3. When other Veda Advantage customers, use the Veda Advantage credit reporting service, Veda Advantage may give that information to those customers.
  4. If I/We default in my/our payment obligations to you, information about that default may be given to Veda Advantage and Vedap Advantage may give information about my/our default to other Veda Advantage customers.

I/We also understand that Pioneer may obtain information about me from other parties in relation to my application and/or contract including:

  • Any government department
    1. Work and Income (WINZ)
    2. Inland Revenue Department (IRD)
    3. Justice Department
    4. Housing NZ
  • Any trading bank operating within New Zealand
  • Any Finance company
  • Any Creditor

I/We also understand that Pioneer may rely on this authorisation for all my/our future applications for Pioneer Lending or other services and for all other dealings of whatever nature that I may have with Pioneer unless this authorisation has been revoked in writing by me and I have no current lending with Pioneer.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
All personal information of borrowers, guarantors, directors or shareholders will be held by Pioneer at its Head Office and may be accessed by any member of Pioneer for record maintenance purposes. Under the Privacy Act 1993, individuals have the right of access to and correction of their personal information.
